Full Version: Place locator during playback when pressed

It is possible to add a locator during playback. The locator position is determined by the playback cursor position after the locator name is entered. It is desirable to position the locator at the point the insert locator button (or keyboard shortcut L) is pressed.
I can't see where or how locator marker names are used. Are these required? Is the name entry part of the workflow required?
It looks like the marker name is used for delete and jump to actions. I can see that jump to workflow may benefit from a named marker, e.g. Jump To Verse 2. The marker names are not displayed in the main view, only the marker index (1, 2, 3, etc.) I would suggest a workflow of:

Inserting a new marker occurs immediately.
New markers are named with their index (same as current behaviour).
Option to rename markers.
Reference to markers in delete, jump to and rename workflows, refer to marker index and name, e.g. Rename 1:Verse 2.

This workflow would allow simpler placement of markers during playback, remove the need to name markers if the user does not require this and allow user to change a marker name / use.
Next version will use the time stamp when pressing 'L'. There is no need to name markers, you can just press 'Ok'.
