When I set my sony xperia z5c to device native sample rate, it is able to play up to 48.000. When it set to variable rate, it is able to play up to 96.000. In sony walkman nw-zx2, it can only play up to 44.100 and 48.000, respectively. Any samples higher were downsampled accordingly. What was that mean? What is the difference bet device native and variable? Thank you
