Normalizing recordings by default
#1
HI, I do a LOT of recording using the default mic. The documentation recommends using the input setting "Mic, no processing, lowest latency" and then normalizing the track. That works fine, but is extremely tedious when recording a lot of tracks, punching in, etc.

My question is -- is there any way to set recordings to normalize by default so I don't have to manually apply normalization to everything I record? I'd like to just record something and not have to fiddle with it each time. I'm hoping there is a way to hit record, and a newly recorded clip will have normalization applied by default.

One thing I thought might work was creating a project template with a bunch of empty tracks that already have the normalization effect configured, but that isn't possible because the normalization effect applies to individual clips instead of entire tracks.

BTW, when using recent Motorola devices the "default mic" option in Audio Evolution seems to be getting a recording with no processing applied, so there is now no way to record and get audio on which auto-gain has been applied. In my case, that is desirable (despite the suggesting in the documentation). Over the years I've been very happy using the default mic (w/ auto-gain) and getting great results, and I want to avoid plugging in an external mic. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion! Sounds like a good option to have in the app's Audio settings, we'll put it on the list.

I'm afraid we have no influence on what 'Default mic' does.

That would be much appreciated. I'd gladly buy the app again several times over to be able to do that! Thanks!
