UAPP+MQA Plugin connected to Denafrips Ares II - bornesen - 11-22-2020 Hi, first of all thanks à lot for this wonderful app. This is one of the few purchases of Android apps that really is worth every single penny. So here is the question: I am Tidal HighFi subscriber with access to their MQA library. I access these files via UAPP + MQA Plugin and I have the Denafrips Ares connected. So, if I understand the information flow correctly, UAPP does the MQA DECODING (unfolding step 1) but as the Ares II is not an MQA RENDERER (unfolding step 2) I'm left with 88.2 Khz sampled files at 24 bit which are played as such by the Ares, correct?? If yes, my question is , what am I actually listening to: 1. an amputated MQA ??? (still MQA ??) or 2. a FLAC on steroids ?? 3. a FLAQ - MQA hybrid ?? In any case, is that isn any way better than the standard FLAC files Again, tnx again for this app RE: UAPP+MQA Plugin connected to Denafrips Ares II - dwrae - 11-28-2020 You are listening to the first MQA unfold (which is the most important step): http://www.extreamsd.com/index.php/mqa RE: UAPP+MQA Plugin connected to Denafrips Ares II - bornesen - 12-01-2020 (11-28-2020, 12:24 PM)dwrae Wrote: You are listening to the first MQA unfold (which is the most important step): thanks for the explaination |
