Recommended USB-C to 3.5mm cables? - djbclark - 10-29-2022

There are hundreds of these around, like $5 to $45, and most seem to not or not correctly list what exact DAC they use and what capabilities it has.

Is there a list of known-good options with correct specs anywhere?

I feel like this should be a sticky/I'm just not searching for the right thing...

Apple's own USB-C to 3.5mm adapter supports up to 24/44.1 and 48 kHz. (Having access to both multiples for a relatively cheap price of $9 is a good get).

I haven't used it myself, but an opinion remains that it's quite good (power requirements not withstanding).

If you want something more durable, there's always heat shrink (or another cable for another $9).
