UAPP playing *local* Tidal files - Nik99 - 07-11-2024
Is UAPP able to play Tidal local files that have been downloaded to the device?
For example for when I'm offline (e.g. airplane mode), I have songs from some of my Tidal playlists downloaded onto my phone. The Tidal app currently has issues with playback through my DAC when switching between MQA and Flac (at least I think that's the issue) - both online and locally saved, whereas UAPP plays these same Tidal songs back just fine when online.
I'm not sure if this is a "how do I" thread or a "feature request" thread, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do this yet.

Apologies for the late reply. but TIDAL does not allow other software to play downloaded content.

Thanks very much for the reply, and I'm not surprised to hear that!
FWIW in the past weeks it looks like Tidal has abandoned MQA, which resolves the issue for me.
