*.dsf files not showing under Folders using Local Storage - kuromajutsu - 09-17-2024 Hi, I'm fairly new to UAPP and I own several DSD albums/files in DSF format. Playback of .dsf files via Network - WORKING I have the DSF files stored in a folder on my NAS, which can be accessed through a Samba share. When I access this Samba network folder under UAPP's "Network" section, I can see the DSF files and stream them bit-perfectly to my DAC without any issues (see the first screenshot below). Playback of .dsf files via Folders - NOT WORKING I have also copied the same albums/files to both the phone’s SD card and internal storage for offline listening. However, when I try to access these locally stored DSF files under UAPP's "Folders" section, whether from the phone’s internal storage or SD card, the files do not appear, and I am presented with an empty folder (see the second screenshot below). Am I missing something here? Is this a bug or is there something more intentional at play? Can anyone else replicate this simple issue? Any help would be appreciated. RE: *.dsf files not showing under Folders using Local Storage - dwrae - 09-19-2024 Yes, when using Folders, you need to use 'Add folder using Storage Access Framework', otherwise the app can only see files that Android identifies as 'media', which would exclude DSD files. There was an information message on that on first use. RE: *.dsf files not showing under Folders using Local Storage - kuromajutsu - 09-19-2024 Thanks @dwrae. I've added the folder via "Add folder using Storage Framework" and I can now access and playblack my *.dsf files locally. I appreciate the quick and informative response for a great app. Hmmm , I think I may have hastily dimissed one too many app welcome screens, and it finally caught up with me! Consider this one closed. |
