USB Audio Player Pro: Morphit or PEQ - patricklarge - 10-04-2024 Total newbie question here so please excuse the igorance. When using UAPP and looking for your own personal perfect sound... is it better (easier) to use MorphIt or PEQ? Or do both with work in conjuntion? My guess is that Morphit standalone is easier. Also note that my ears are NOT super descerning... I think I can hear a difference up to 7.5/10 and then 8, 9, and 10/10 all sound the same to me. My set up (2 different) one desktop and one mobile... so I guess the question is also valid for desktop as well, albeit not with UAPP in the middle #1. OnePlus 10pro Mobile - Tidal - UAPP - dragontail - dragonfly cobaly - wired Sennheiser Momentum M2 #2. Macbook - Tidal - ZenDac - Audeze LCD-2C Thx for any advice- patricklarge RE: USB Audio Player Pro: Morphit or PEQ - dwrae - 10-04-2024 You could use both, but it also depends on what you want to achieve. With MorphIt you would select your Sennheiser model from the list and then select 'target' headphones that you wish to emulate. So you use MorphIt when you want to emulate other headphones and you use parametric EQ to taste or to correct for anomalies. When you emulate other headphones, arent you really just EQ'ing what you currently have to sound like the other? RE: USB Audio Player Pro: Morphit or PEQ - dwrae - 10-05-2024 Sure, but you would have a hard time figuring out what the frequency response is of your current and target headphones and adjust the EQ accordingly, so that is what MorphIt does. |
