which type of sdcards for multitrack recording - ruben35 - 01-13-2016 Hello Are there any preferred micro sdcards for using AEM and multitrack recording. Is class10 (10MB/sec) write speed sufficient for 16 channels (wav, 24Bit, 48kHz)? Which are the best buffer settings in AEM for recording 16 channels ? Thank you. RE: which type of sdcards for multitrack recording - dwrae - 01-15-2016 Basically, anything above 2 channels is considered 'risky' with more channels creating a bigger risk in audio glitching. This is usually not caused by slow sd cards as it could already cause issues with software monitoring without recording when you have a slower Android model. Now, for 24-bit, 48kHz, 16-channels, you would require a constant throughput of 2.3MB/sec. The 10MB/sec is probably not a constant rate, so higher would be better. |
