You can quickly change note length in the left panel of the piano roll editor, so I doubt there is much demand for a preference setting with a default note length?

Anything that reduces the number of extra screen touches on an Android is a good thing.

I think it's better that the app would save the last used note length than a preference setting.

Yes, that would be good. FL Mobile does that. Most of the major DAWs also do that .
