Not sure if what I ask for is already implemented and I just didn't find it in the Settings, or if it already has been asked on this forum and my search was inadequate.
The time bar on the Now Playing screen currently displays elapsed (left) and total (right) time information for the current track.
It would be nice if we could switch between this display and another one, elapsed (left) and remaining (right) time information.
One might also consider a variant of this, elapsed (left) and total (center) and remaining (right) time information - but only if the currently quite tidy Now Playing screen doesn't get cluttered.
