Basically, anything above 2 channels is considered 'risky' with more channels creating a bigger risk in audio glitching. This is usually not caused by slow sd cards as it could already cause issues with software monitoring without recording when you have a slower Android model.
Now, for 24-bit, 48kHz, 16-channels, you would require a constant throughput of 2.3MB/sec. The 10MB/sec is probably not a constant rate, so higher would be better.
