3.5mm headphone output
#1
I've got some Bose Soundlink headphones with no USB input. I am using the headphone output on my Samsung S9+ and it sounds great. It is saying I'm getting hi-res output, but am I? With my Nura phones I use the USB output, but my USB to mini USB converter 3.0 is not OTG. Do I NEED the OTG. It seems to be working alright.

The Exynos versions of the Samsung's do have HiRes output, but not bit-perfect or without processing. Basically you are getting higher sample rates than you would normally get. USB-C does not really have the concept of OTG anymore. The adapter cable needs to handle both the power and data lines. The USB adapter that comes with the S9 should be fine.
