Effect tails

When you export tracks from a project, there is an option to include effect tails. Are these simply the effects that might have been applied to each track? If so, I assume that not choosing this option exports the tracks without any effects applied....

With the option enabled, the app does not stop exactly at the end of the last clip, but only stops when effect tails are silent, with a maximum of 10 seconds after the original project end. Either way, effects will always be applied. This option is there to include delay and reverb tails.
