Play Midi file to synthesizer?
#1
I'd like to play back Midi via Audio Evolution Mobile (AEM) on Android via USB to my synthesizer. Maybe that's not possible. I've managed to record Midi notes to AEM via the synth's keyboard but for the life of me I can't seem to control the synth via USB-Midi with AEM.

Please make sure to select a USB MIDI track and not an instrument track. Then the output of the MIDI track will go to the USB MIDI interface.

Strangely enough my Korg Monologue plays just fine via my PC (Linux & QTractor) and a single USB cable (Midi). However via Audio Evolution Mobile (Android) it will only play if I use a USB to DIN-Midi converter cable. Not with only the (very same) USB cable connected.

When I try to do the same in Audio Evolution Mobile (AEM) with my Yamaha Reface YC (a desktop Hammond clone) it does playback the very same project file w/ the same, single, USB cable connected just fine.

Can anyone explain why the very same hardware works w/ one DAW and not w/ the other? Android Extream Software Development driver issue?

(keyboard input to AEM from both synths works fine)

That sounds like a driver issue. It's best to contact support@audio-evolution.com since we cannot handle that here.
