DSD512 Playback in Hiby RS8
#1
Hello,

This is my first post in the forum. i may have missed this topic here, but i am trying to figure out how to play DSD512 files on my Hiby RS8.

I have been using UAPP in both the iBasso DX320EX and the Hiby RS8. Tried playing DSD512 files in both of them using UAPP.
With the DX320EX, DSD512 files could be played NATIVELY. With the RS8, DSD512 files are being downsampled to PCM 384KHz. I reviewed the UAPP settings on both devices, and all the settings are almost similar.

Is there an option in the UAPP settings (in RS8) that I may have missed in order for it to pay DSD512 files natively in the RS8?

Thank you.

thank you for replying.

i have done that already, and it did not work. but that option seems to be limited to the R5 and R6 series. R8 and RS8 are not listed in the option.

my DSD512 files are very few as well, about 5 albums only. they occupy a lot of storage. im just trying and im just curious why UAPP on the RS8 could not play DSD512 natively. the DAP is supposed to play these files without downsampling them.

to make sure its not limited by android os, so i tried default hiby player

it can play DSD512 files nicely without bad noises

i think im going back to hiby player for now, the navigation, performance and .cue reader is better
