DSD128 Playback in PS Audio Sprout 100
#1

Hello

I have DSD files in a SSD connected via USB to a Raspberry Pi running Moode and accessible in the network by making them visible in a UPnP/DLNA server. USB Player Pro is in my Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus which I connect via USB to a PS Audio Sprout 100 integrated amp with a DAC capable of playing up to DSD128 in DoP mode. When I open the USB Player Pro the list displayed after pressing the three lines on the upper left present the option to access UPnP/DLNA servers, and there I find my Mood DLNA server with the included drive that hosts the DSD files. If I select a DSD64 file it is played perfectly but if I choose a DSD128 I get an error message indicating it cannot do resampling in bitperfect mode and it starts skipping to the next file and to the next and so on. So I figure there is a special configuration that I'm unaware of to make the USB Player Pro able to play DSD128 files without glitches. Included images are first the error message (in spanish), the second how it looks the DSD128 file that should be playing, and how the DSD64 that is playing OK.

I'll appreciate any guidance.

Thank you

Carlos

My initial guess is that those are DSD256 tracks. Can you please check?

Thanks for your reply, but I'm pretty sure they are DSD128 files. That's what I paid for and that is how they play if using Foobar in my computer and an SMSL external DAC. In fact, if I send the files to the Sprout amp using Bubble UPnP, they are also played fine, not bitperfect though, that's why we use UAPP, right?

Further ideas are appreciated!

Can you please take a look at the data at the bottom of the image corresponding to DSD 128, don't they look odd?

Yes, that's also why I asked. Can you please contact us at support@extreamsd.com? That's a lot easier to handle because we need log files etc.
