record multitrack audio into one file

I have the Voyage Audio Spatial Microphone, and it sends 8 tracks of audio for full immersive recordings. Currently this works, but I end up with 4 stereo tracks. I have to go through a fairly cumbersome process to end up with a single 8 channel file that I can import into a track in Nuendo. It would be very useful to have an option to record multitrack audio into a single multitrack file.
