Album art size limit?
#1
Hi! I have been searching this forum to see if anyone have a similar problem with specific album artwork not showing.
My music library is pretty big and I've noticed that a few album covers are missing (maybe 2-3%). This seems to be an issue with large album covers but doesn't seem to be associated with the file size itself, as I have bigger (in Mb) covers working.

Is there a pixel limit to the artwork UAPP will allow? Or, in general, what are the reqirements for UAPP album artwork (size/format)?

I'm in the process of transitioning from Poweramp to UAPP, due to audio quality and bit-perfect streaming, but having these issues with artwork which I didn't have with Poweramp. I like my artwork to be of the highest quality, as well as my music, so that's why I "need" these large files.

Thank you for any answers/suggestions.

It's 4MB. The pixel size shouldn't matter. Please contact support@extreamsd.com and send us such a file so we can check it out.

Thank you - that explains it. Upon further investigation I have found that the "working" album art that's larger than 4MB is due to the cover also being embedded, so UAPP probably prioritizes that over the in-folder image.

Is there any way to increase/bypass that 4MB limit? It's probably implemented to not slow down performance due to extremely large image files, but I would love to have an option to choose between "normal" (<4MB) and "high" (<20MB?) quality album artwork.
