Peak limiter/AGC

Recording quality is superb, but I often run into clipping when I'm recording an event with wide dynamic range .  It would be great if there was a peak limiter, a compressor/limiter, or automatic gain control option to prevent clipping.

That wouldn't help since clipping occurs in the analogue domain. Putting a peak limiter, compressor or whatever wouldn't help since the audio would already been digitized and clipped.

Thanks! I assume that means the USBARP manual level controls are in the analog domain?

It depends on the manufacturer's implementation. Usually they are if they are input gain controls. For output, it can be both digital and analogue.
