Automation for buses

Is this possible? I realize I can automate each individual track, but it would save a lot of time if I could, say, route all of the strings tracks to a single bus and just automate that.

Not near, no. THe problem is that the busses have no 'lanes' in the time line display.

And what about efx tracks, or automation tracks. Could it be a solution?

Automation is already available (also for effects) for individual tracks, that's not the problem. I just don't think 99% of our customers will understand why an empty project would start with a lane for the master bus for instance.
