Redmi Note 3 support

I have tried to use the Player via USB OTG cable to my cm6631a based DAC but it does not play.

However the ONKYO HF Player does play OK.

I have granted root access as per this link http://xiaomitips.com/guide/root-access-...t-rooting/

Will email the log file.

Thanks for your log file. It shows a lot of USB errors, probably indicating that some other app or the system is using it. Can you try restarting your Redmi with the DAC attached and directly start UAPP after that?
Note that you do not need root access.
