How important is CPU clock speed for AEM?
#1
From my desktop experience I know that lower the CPU clock speed, higher the latency for an audio interface in PCs. Does the same thing happen with AEM? Does the performance of AEM's USB audio driver depend on the Android device's CPU clock speed? Or does processing power of AEM and its plugins get affected by the Android device's CPU clock speed?

There are so many variables involved. Today's Android devices have high enough clock speed to handle all USB audio. However, our experience is that it does not say anything about the reliability of using USB audio. A more important issue is that the clock speed can vary (due to battery saving and heat). This has more affect on USB audio performance than the (highest) clock speed in general. Unfortunately one cannot influence that unless you are rooted.
